Draga braćo i sestre, ljudi vjere i dobre volje širom svijeta,
Stojimo danas u Srebrenici – Potočari na razmeđu duboke tuge i nadahnute nade, crpeći iz vjere zajednički poziv: da se sjećamo posljedica razorenih genocida — ne kao polog poglavlja historije, već kao moralnih svjetionika koji traju.

Iz Auschwitza je proizašla molitva na hebrejskom, njemačkom, poljskom, romskom, jidišu — uzdizala se iz dima i pepela da potvrdi kako život i dostojanstvo ne mogu biti uništeni.

Iz Gaze, zemlje vjerovjesnika i poslanika čujemo očaj majki na arapskom i očinski vapaj za pravdom i mirom.

Iz Srebrenice, zemlje žalovanja i nade, dopire eho ezana, šapat tespiha i molitva za obnovu ljudskog dostojanstva.

Iako različitih vjera, ujedinjeni smo u uvjerenju da je život svet — i da zaborav znači najtežu nepravdu.

Stoga, okupimo se u među-religijskoj molitvi suosjećanja:

Neka naša tuga postane svjetionik nade!
Neka naša zajednička osveta bude pravda!
Neka suze svake majke Auschwitza, Gaze i Srebrenice postanu molitva —
Da više nikome, nikada, ne bude dozvoljeno suočiti se s tim mrakom – Holokaustom i Genocidom! Amin. Selah. Amen.

Dok smo zajedno bilo kada — u sinagogama, džamijama, crkvama, hramovima, na otvorenom — obnovimo naš zavjet:
• Sjećanju protiv poricanja!
• Suosjećanju protiv ravnodušnosti
• Otporu pred mržnjom!
• Brizi za dostojanstvo svakog ljudskog bića!

Neka ovaj i svaki drugi trenutak, kroz tradicije i generacije, bude trenutak zajedničke patnje — i još snažnijeg obećanja:
Nikad više! Auschwitz! Gaza! Srebrenicu!
Nikad više! Nikome! I nigdje!

A SHARED PRAYER AT THE CROSSROADS OF FAITH AND MEMORY

To the victims of Auschwitz, Gaza and Srebrenica
To the moral conscience of all faiths

Beloved Brothers and Sisters,
Men and Women of Faith,
People of good will everywhere,

Today in Srebrenica – Potočarti we stand at the intersection of profound sorrow and hopeful resolve, drawing from our faiths a shared call: to remember the lives shattered by Holocaust and Genocide—not as fragments of history, but as enduring moral beacons.

From Auschwitz emerged prayers in Hebrew, German, Polish, Romani, Yiddish—all rising through smoke and ashes to affirm that life and dignity cannot be annihilated.

From Gaza, a land of God’s Messengers and psalms, we hear the call of mothers grieving in Arabic, the supplication of fathers who remember before daring to hope again.

From Srebrenica, a land of mourners and hope, we hear the echo of the muezzin, the whisper of rosary beads, the prayer that dignity will be restored.

Though separated by creed, we are united in the conviction that all life is sacred—and that forgetting is the gravest injustice.

Thus, let us join our hearts in this Interfaith Prayer of Compassion:
May our shared grief become a lamp of hope!
May our united grief become justice!
May tears of every mother of Auschwitz, Gaza, and Srebrenica become prayer—
That no child, no people, no faith shall ever face such darkness again!
Amen. Selah. Ameen.

As we gather anytime—housed in synagogues, mosques, churches, temples, community centers, and open skies—may we renew our commitment:
• To uphold memory above denial!
• To enact compassion above indifference!
• To resist hatred wherever it takes root!
• To defend dignity for all God’s creatures!

May this and every moment, across traditions, voices, and generations, be one of shared mourning—and even more shared determination:
Never again. For Auschwitz. For Gaza. For Srebrenica.
Never again. To no one, and nowhere.
